FINAL EVENT PROGRAM AND BOOKLET
The final event program and booklet are now available here. Please note that the event times listed are “not before” times. This means this is the earliest time an event can commence, however the events may be held at a later time depending on how the program is running.
On arrival at the track please check in at the GUNLAC tent and have your name marked off the GUNLAC attendees list and the Parent Roster.
IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF PARENTS AND ATHLETES TO LISTEN TO ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR WHEN EVENTS ARE STARTING. Each event will have two calls prior to commencing. If an athlete does not report to the event following the second call they may be withdrawn from the event.
UNIFORM Athletes MUST wear their GUNLAC uniform (i.e. GUNLAC t-shirt/singlet/crop top + black shorts) with registration number, age patch and Coles patch clearly visible. If you do not yet have a Coles patch please collect one from GUNLAC tent before your first event.
SPIKES Spikes can only be worn by athletes U9-U17 for laned track events, javelin, long jump, triple jump and high jump. U13-U17 athletes can wear spikes in unlaned events.
PARENT ROSTER We do need parent help to run the carnival - all Little Athletics ACT events are run by parent volunteers.
This year the Championships are also the test event for officials who will be officiating at the Australian Little Athletics Championships (ALAC) in April. This means that the team of ALAC volunteers from GUNLAC will be officiating on Saturday (Shot Put) and Sunday (javelin). This is noted on the roster, we have rostered on one parent to assist this ALAC Officials team for each age group. We have also been allocated a Chief role on Long Jump which will be supported by parents from other clubs.
Please check the GUNLAC parent roster to see where your help is needed across the weekend – PLEASE CHECK EACH DAY ON THE ROSTER.
If you decide to not attend the carnival please let us know by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org so we can take you off the parent roster (preferable to filling vacant spots on the day).
