Our training page has been updated with details on this week's training session. Training is held every Thursday at Amaroo Oval, 5.15pm to 6.30pm. Training is offered to all GUNLAC registered athletes, U7s and older. Each week our coaches divide athletes into age groups and focus on specific events. This week we will be running a sprints session for Under 9s and older, with U8s and U7s doing throws and associated activities (lots of fun for our younger ones!)
This Saturday's Program is now available at our Club Documents Page. Check out what your age groups are doing this week! The forecast is looking good for a great morning of athletics! Our training page has been updated with this week's sessions. We will be running relay practice for all ages - this is open to all athletes even if you're not attending the relay carnival - should be lots of fun! We will also be running long jump for U9s and u10s and throws for u11s and older. U7s and u8s will do long jump, shot put and shuttle relays.
We are always grateful for parent helpers at training. If you are able to coach a particular event or session you can contact our coaching Coordinator Simone Jordan on coachingcoord@gunlac.org.au Important reminder - Parents please do not drop off your child at training and leave! Our training sessions are run by parent volunteers, not professional coaches. You are required to stay at training with your children. This week's program has been updated to allow for separate U13 and U14 Girls groups due to large numbers in these age groups. The updated program is now available on the Club Documents page.
Don't forget this week is Jetstar orange round - come dress with some orange on and help us win a $3000 equipment grant from Jetstar! |
