The LBG Walking Carnival 2026 incorporates the Capital Athletics Roadwalking Championships, with races for Under 10 through to adults. Athletes can register for the event via Capital Athletics Event Registration page.

For all athletes registered to compete at the LBG Carnival, the ACT Walking club is offering free access to their club training leading up to the event! The training sessions are led by international and national level race walkers.
Training details:
When: Mondays 5pm-6pm, weekly until the LBG event (7th June 2026)
Where: AIS Track
Cost: No cost for the training, athletes will need to purchase a ticket to enter the track (approx $5 per session)

Race Walking Clinics:
​There are also some associated race walking clinics being conducted on Saturday 6th June:
    1. Race Walking Level 3 coaching course (only $50)
    2. Judging seminar (Free)
    3. Race Walking masterclass with superstar coach, David Beacroft ($15)

Anything not collected will be held in storage until the start of our next season.
