JUNIOR COACH APPLICATIONS FOR 2025-26 SEASON ARE NOW CLOSED

Are you interested in becoming a Junior Coach at Gungahlin Athletics Club?
To join our Junior Coach team please complete all the fields below and a Committee member will contact you to discuss your eligibility. Our Junior Coaches generally assist our Little Athletics U6-U8 age groups.

Eligibilty Criteria:

Past & Present Gungahlin Athletics Club athletes who are in the U14+ age group are welcome to join our Junior Coach team.
Able to attend our Saturday meets from 8.20am - 10am and/or Thursday night training.
Ability to instruct & coach groups of young children.
Have an understanding of the events U6-U8 children do at Little Athletics.
It is a requirement that all Junior Coaches over the age of 16 years will gain a Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) card. Apply for or renew a WWVP registration - Access Canberra (act.gov.au)

Junior Coaches 16yrs & over are encouraged to complete the Level 1 Youth Coach course. Information about these courses are published on the Capital Athletics website. Our club will reimburse the cost of this course to any Junior Coaches who complete it.
