GUNLAC Annual general Meeting (AGM)

All members are encouraged to attend our AGM!

AGM Details:

Date: Sunday 15 June 2025
Time: 4:30-5:30 pm
Location: Conference room 2, Gungahlin Public Library, corner of Hibberson and Gozzard St, Gungahlin.

The 2025/26 Committee will be elected at the AGM. All Committee positions are declared vacant at the AGM. We would love to fill all the roles and need to have some new faces join the Committee in order to do this, so please consider contact [email protected] if this is you, Information on the roles is available on our CLUB DOCUMENTS page.

GUNLAC SEason finished - what next?

The GUNLAC 2024-25 season is now over. The 2025-2026 season will kick off with registrations opening around August/September. There may be some expansion to the Age Groups we accept so keep an eye out for any announcements.

Athletes who were in U11-U17 this season, keep those Age Patches and registration numbers on your uniform if you’d like to compete in any of the Capital Athletics Winter series competitions. Once the Winter Series details are available you will find them here: https://www.capitalathletics.au/events/list/

Our GUNLAC Annual General Meeting will be on Sunday, 15 June 2025 and the president will be calling for Committee nominations, so now is a great time to reach out if you think you might like to join the Committee - why not have a read through the committee descriptions to see if anything looks like a good fit.

Collection Day - Sunday, 6th April 2025

Last chance for members to collect their Trophies, Medals and Ribbons from this season before they're locked away.

If you can't make it in person please try to send a family member or friend down to collect for you.

Don't forget that Daylight Savings ends this Sunday so check your clocks!

CLUB SURVEY - FINANCIAL PRIORITIES

As we wrap up this season and move towards season 2025-2026, the Gungahlin Little Athletics Centre committee wants to determine what our financial priorities should be over the next few seasons. Your input will help ensure funds are being reinvested into the club to benefit all members.

The committee has prepared a short survey to collect some information and it would be appreciated if you could take a couple of minutes to complete it. The link to the survey is in the email sent on Monday, 31st March and the survey will be open until Sunday, 13 April 2025.

GUNLAC Presentation Day

GUNLAC’s Presentation Day is this Sunday, 30th March 2025.

We’ll be in the Majura Room at the Ainslie Football Club. Kick-off times have been staggered so our littlest athletes don’t have to make it through the whole session.
12:30pm: Tiny Tots and U6 - U7 athletes
1:30pm: U8 - U9 athletes
2:30pm: U10 - U17 athletes

What else you need to know…

Uniform: Athletes should wear their GUNLAC uniform to the presentation.
Sit at the Front: We’ll ask Athletes in the first 2 sessions to sit at the front of the room so they’re ready to be called up.
Participation Medal: All Athletes who’ve attended a meet since January 2025 will receive a medal.
PB Ribbons: If your athlete was due to receive a PB Ribbon these will be available for collection on the day from their Age Group Manager.
Signing in: You wont need to wait at the reception desk, but please fill out the sign-in sheet located to the right, at the bottom of the stairs and near the elevator, before entering. Note: this allows you to attend the event but not enter the rest of the club.

GUNLAC has accumulated a lot of lost property this season, including a junior fit bit (this is being held by a committee member for safe keeping). We are bringing it all along to the presentation day and encourage everyone to check through for any missing clothing, drink bottles etc. Anything that is not collected will be donated to charity after the event.

If you’re not able to make it on Sunday we will arrange another time for people to collect their medals so stay tuned for those details.

We can’t wait to see you there to celebrate all of our 2024-25 athlete and club achievements. Let’s go Geckos!
