This Saturday is our final meet of the season, so let's make it a good one!
------------ Final Meet Dress up: Show off your Olympic spirit by rocking some Olympic colors—whether it's Australia's green & gold or any color from the iconic rings. Just don’t forget to wear your registration numbers too! Let’s make it a vibrant, fun finish! Presentation Day, Sunday 30th March 2025 at the Ainslie Football Club. Start times are: 12.30pm - Tiny Tots, U6-U7; 1:30pm - U8-U9; 2:30pm - U10-U17. Voting for Club Person of the Year will close on Sunday, 16th March 2025 - please check your email for the link. ----------- Start Times: 8:20am: *Tiny Tots, U6-8 (straight track on bottom oval) 9:45am: Optional Race Walk (round track on top oval) U9-700m; U10-11-1100m; U12-17 - 1500m 9:50am: U9-17 (bottom oval, towards the senior throws) Programs and Rosters: The program for Saturday's events is now available and Group B is on Roster Duty. - NEW - *Tiny Tots Program: Tiny Tots will be meeting on the straight track at the bottom oval with the other groups this week, ready for their Tiny Tots Olympics. They'll have a full program of activities so the finish time is expected to be around 9:30am. Coffee van: is unavailable this week. Meet 17 - GUNLAC Records Three new records were set at our last meet. Ashton D U10M beat his own record for the third time in Turbo Javelin, throwing 18.74m and improved his 200m record of 30.59secs, his previous record set earlier this season was 31.73secs. Zara J improved her discus record for the third time throwing 32.36m Our final GUNLAC training session for the season will be held this Thursday from 6-7pm at Amaroo Playing Fields. This week athletes will be working on:
* U6 - U8: Shotput * U9 - U10: Shotput * U11 - U17: Javelin We need adult helpers for each group to assist with retrieving throw implements and make sure kids are lining up and behaving in a safe manner. GUNLAC Meet 17 - Saturday, 8 March 2025, marks the second last meet of the season and a great way to kick off the Canberra Day weekend!
GUNLAC Behaviour: Unfortunately we have had reports that some athletes are not showing GUNLAC Gecko values. In particular:

Athletes must put their spikes on at the start of an event and remove them at the end of the event. - NEW - Coles Community Visit at Presentation Day: Those on social media might've noticed some posts about the chance to have a world famous Olympian athlete at our Presentation Day. To increase our chances please give these posts a like, comment and share! Team Photographs: Our photographer will continue coming around to take team photos. Coffee van: will be onsite! Meet 16 - GUNLAC Records Congratulations to Zara J for setting another U17 Girls Javelin record throwing 31.86m making it the fourth time she’s set a Javelin record this season! The first record she set back in October was 26.73m. GUNLAC training is on Thursdays from 6-7pm at Amaroo Playing Fields.
