We hope everyone is ready for the school year to start, before it begins tho' we have GUNLAC Meet 12 this Saturday, 1 February 2025.
------------ Woden Thunder Athletics Carnival (U9+), is on Sunday, 2 February 2025. Good luck to all the GUNLAC athletes that have registered. U6-U8 Teams Challenge, on Sunday, 16 February 2025, in Calwell. If you have an athlete in this age group, have a chat with the other families and see if you can come up with a GUNLAC team. Underage Championships (U9-U18), 21- 23 February at the AIS Athletics Track Registrations open until Tues, 11 Feb at 12pm: Note: there is no GUNLAC meet for U9-17 athletes on 22 Feb due to these Championships. ----------- Meet 12 Start Times: 8:20am: Tiny Tots (top oval) and U6-8 (straight track on bottom oval) 9:45am: U11-17 athletes - optional 1500m run (round track on top oval) 9:50am: U9-17 (bottom oval, towards the senior throws) Programs and Rosters: The program for Saturday's events is now available and Group B is on Roster Duty, please see a committee member (wearing a red shirt) when you arrive for instructions. - NEW - Team Photographs: Our photographer will be coming around to take team photos from this Saturday. Please help with gathering the kids together to make this a bit easier! Registration bags and Uniforms: Please collect Registration bags and purchase uniforms at the start of each session. Meet 11 - GUNLAC Records and Medal results from U20 & Open Championships Congratulations to Anella J for her U8G 200m club record - running 34.47secs beating the previous record of 35.49 set in 2018. Congratulations also to Zara J and Chloe K (junior coach) for their gold medals at the U20 & open champs on the weekend. Zara got her gold for discus and Chloe's gold was for the Long Jump. Happy News: Sylvie and Bruno’s coffee van will be at the grounds this Saturday so you’ll be able to get your fresh cuppa on site. Comments are closed.
