Welcome to Meet #12 and the last meet before school starts up again.  It’s predicted to be another hot one so please remember to follow the

• SLIP on sun-protective clothing, 
• SLOP on SPF50+ sunscreen, 
• SLAP on a broad-brimmed hat, 
• SEEK shade, and 
• SLIDE on wraparound sunglasses 

For athletes wanting to do the 1500m run (for U11+) it will commence slightly earlier at 9:30am.

2026 CA Underage Championships U9-U18
Fri 13 - Sun 15th Feburary 2026 at the AIS, Registrations close 12pm, 9th Feb 2026
- U9-U18 athletes
- No Gungahlin Seniors meet on Saturday, 14 Feb due to a clash with this competition.
- Qualifying event for Australian Athletics National Championships
Woden Thunder Carnival:
Sunday 22 February 2026 at Woden Athletics Field, registrations closing 9am, Thursday 19 February 2026.

• U9-Open age groups
• $5/event entry fee

• Woden Thunder Gift race with a prize pool of $2000

2026 CA U6-U8 Teams Challenge
Sunday 22 February 2026 at Woden Athletics Field, registrations closing 11.59pm, Monday 23 February 2026.

• U6-8 age groups
• $10 entry fee
• Fun events

Have a chat to the other parents/athetes and get a few Geckos organised to attend together!

           8:20am: Tiny Tots (top oval) and U6-8 (straight track)
           *NEW* 9:30am: 1500m Run U11-Adult (meet at round track tent)
           9:50am: U9-Adult meet close to senior throws.
​Programs and Rosters: This week’s program is now available for Saturday's events and Group D is on Roster Duty.  Volunteers (other than Tiny Tots) will need to sign in at the Equipment shed before reporting at their rostered duty.

Presentation Day will be on Sunday, 29 March 2026 at the Ainslie Football & Social Club so please save the date.  Our photographer will be taking Team Photos starting at the next Meet#13 - 7 Feb 2026.
