MEET 13: SATURDAY, 8th FEBRUARY 2025

What better way to end the first school week than with GUNLAC Meet 13 this Saturday, 8 February 2025!  With rain forecast for Saturday, the meet will proceed unless a cancellation is announced. Let's keep our fingers crossed!

​Sylvie & Bruno coffee van will be back again this week so drop by to get your morning cuppa and say Hello. They also have some Gluten Free goodies available.

*U6-U8 Teams Challenge, on Sunday, 16 February 2025, in Calwell. If you have an athlete in this age group, have a chat with the other families and see if you can come up with a GUNLAC team (5 or 6 athletes).
*Underage Championships (U9-U18), 21- 23 February at the AIS Athletics Track Registrations open until Tues, 11 Feb at 12pm:  Note: there is no GUNLAC meet for U9-17 athletes on 22 Feb due to these Championships.
*Parents need to be prepared to volunteer to assist at these events - please email us if you register and can definitely assist.  We will do a call out closer to the date.

Important things to remember for Meet 13:
Start Times:  
8:20am: Tiny Tots (top oval) and U6-8 (straight track on bottom oval)
9:45am: Optional Race Walk (round track on top oval) U9-700m; U10-11-1100m; U12-17 - 1500m
Optional 1500m run for U11-17 athletes (round track on top oval)
9:50am: U9-17 (bottom oval, towards the senior throws)​
​Programs and Rosters: The program for Saturday's events is now available and Group C is on Roster Duty, please see a committee member (wearing a red shirt) when you arrive for instructions. 
Team Photographs: Our photographer will continue coming around to take team photos, please help with gathering the kids together to make this a bit easier!
Registration bags and Uniforms:  Please collect Registration bags and purchase uniforms at the start of each session.

Results from the Woden Thunder Carnival
There were no club records set at the last meet.  GUNLAC was however well represented and performed strongly at the Woden Thunder Carnival on the Sunday. Congratulations to all the athletes who competed.  

Ten of our GUNLAC athletes received at least one medal in over 15 events: Annabell W, Zoe L, Bethany W, Freya M, Mia M, Ashton D, Jeremy W, Prinith L, William O, Jimmy W.
