Meet #16 - Saturday, 28th February 2026

​Meet #16 already and only a few more meets until the end of season!

Club Person and LifeTime members- sadly we have very few nominations so far and they need to close at 6pm on Sunday, 1st March 2026 to allow time for voting.  To nominate a Gungahlin Athletics Club 2025-26 Club Person and/or Lifetime membership  email [email protected] with the person’s name, position and a paragraph or two stating why you think they’re a worthy recipient! 

Presentation Day (Sunday, 29March2026) - All athletes who have participated since January 2026 will receive a Participation Medal* on the day. We've staggered the start times to help keep the afternoon on track and make sure it's not too long for our smallest athletes:

• 12:00pm    Tiny Tots-U7;
• 1:15pm       U8-U10;
• 2:30pm      U11+

* If an athlete has not been able to compete this year for extenuating circumstances (such as injury/illness) please let us know.

Start Times: 
    8:20am: Tiny Tots (top oval) and U6-8 (straight track)
   9:45am: Race Walk (meet at round track tent): U9 (700m), U10 - U11 (1100m) and U12 - Masters (1500m)
   9:50am: U9-Adult (meet close to senior throws)

Programs and Rosters: This week’s program is now available for Saturday's events and Group D is on Roster Duty.

Good luck to all our Geckos who are going to Calwell on Sunday for the CA U6-8 Teams Challenge, we hope you have a fabulous time.  You should be wearing your uniform (black bottoms and club shirt) and have both your Age Patch and Registration number attached for this competition.  Contact the Registrar ASAP if you are missing either of these numbers.   If you take some pictures you’d like us to share, please send them through to [email protected].


PS: If you're thinking about a winter sport, how about AFL? The Gungahlin Jets are about to kick off their season and are also based at Amaroo Playing Fields - a rep from their club will be around on Saturday to answer any questions you may have!
