MEET 4 - 9 November 2024

All of our volunteers seem to be finding their feet and our athletes are settling in, making our meets run more smoothly.  As well as plenty of club records being broken (7 at Meet 3!) Age Group Manager's will be giving out the first PB (Personal Best) ribbons this weekend!!

We have a few upcoming events for you to get excited for:

• Meet 5, Sat 16th November, we'll be having a Coles community round where athletes are encouraged to dress up with a splash of Red or a hint of Coles to wear with their uniform tops, there'll be vouchers for our best dressed and word is there's a  chance to race against a banana!
• Sun, 24th November - Capital Athletics Relay Carnival.  Registrations will close on Sat, 16th November, we'd love to see lots of GUNLAC teams (4 athletes in a team) there so have a chat to the kids/guardians in your Age Group.

Important things to remember for Meet 4:

• Start Times:  

                8:20am: Tiny Tots (top oval) and U6-8 (straight track on bottom oval)
               9:45am: Optional 1500m Race U11-17 (round  track on top oval)    
               9:50am: U9-17 (bottom oval, towards the senior throws)​

• ​Programs and Rosters: The program for Saturday's events is now available and Group D is on Roster Duty, please see a committee member (wearing a red shirt) when you arrive for instructions. 
• Registration bags (N/A for trials):  if you haven't already collected your Registration Bag, especially for those trial athletes who have converted to a full Registration, please arrive early enough to collect it before the meet starts.  Remember to bring proof of identity for your athlete/s (electronic copy preferred) and at least four safety pins per athlete to attach their new numbers to their shirts.
• Uniforms: can be purchased at the Registration Desk. 
• Trial athletes - make sure you're paid up and registered if your 2 week trial has finished and you'd like to continue attending.  Click the Register Now button to get started or check out the instructions on Converting.   Those still on a trial must  make sure they join the correct Age Group - if you're not sure please check.
• Vacant positions - thanks to the volunteers who've stepped up, we've managed to fill our vacant positions!

From this weekend our Canteen will be selling pod coffees for $3 (on trial) since our coffee van can't make it again.
