Meet 8 - 6 December 2025

Meet #8 this weekend and it looks like it could be a hot one!  Please make sure all athletes have sun protection and water bottles.  For our athletes who are in Melbourne competing at the Australian Athletics All Schools Championships this weekend, all the best for a great meet.

Now that everyone has had a chance to get their uniforms we will be checking that athletes are wearing the correct uniform.  You must have the Age Patch and official 2025-26 Registration Number attached correctly to a Gungahlin club shirt.  Having the correct uniform is a requirement of the club and assists us to identify our athletes, form a sense of community and is extremely useful for our Age Group Managers, Track Assistants and Photographer.  If you do not have any of these items (Club top, Age Patch or Registration Number) please see a committee member at the sheds to replace or purchase these items.

Combined & Individual Event Championships - Sat 20 - Sun 21 December 2025 at Woden Athletics Field - registrations closing midday Monday, 15 Dec. 

• Athletes must turn 10+yrs of age by the end of 2025 to compete.
• Gungahlin Athletics doesn’t have a meet this weekend so a great way to get some more athletics action.    
  
  

Capital Athletics Opens and Under 20s Championships - January 24th-26th 2026 at the AIS for U17+ athletes.

Start Times: 
        8:20am: Tiny Tots (top oval) and U6-8 (straight track)
     9:45am: Race Walk (round track - top oval): U9 (700m), U10 - U11 (1100m) and U12 - Masters (1500m)
       9:50am: U9-Adult - meet close to senior throws.
​Programs and Rosters: This week’s program is now available for Saturday's events and Group D is on Roster Duty. Volunteers (other than Tiny Tots) will need to sign in at the Equipment shed before reporting at their rostered duty.
