NOMINATIONS FOR CLUB AWARDS

As we approach the end of the 2025-26 season and begin preparations for our Presentation Day (Sunday, 29th March 2026) we are now seeking your nominations for the Gungahlin Athletics Club 2025-26 Club person of the year and Lifetime Membership.

Nominations will be open until 6pm, Sunday 1st March 2026 and should be sent to [email protected].  Your nomination should include the person’s name, position/role and a brief explanation of why you believe they deserve the award.

Club Person of the Year 2025-26 

The Club Person of the Year celebrates a parent, athlete or volunteer who has made a significant contribution to the club during the 2025-26 season. The recipient will have shown qualities like leadership, sportsmanship, positivity, dedication, and a strong commitment to our club. 

We encourage all Gecko families to nominate someone who deserves this award.  Voting will open for families in the week following the close of nominations.

Lifetime Membership
The Lifetime Membership Award is not given every year; rather, it is awarded when individuals within the club are identified for their exceptional contributions over many years. Nominations for this prestigious award are open throughout the season, with all submissions being reviewed and determined by the committee.

Our Lifetime Members demonstrate outstanding dedication, leadership, and service, playing an essential role in the club’s success and impact on the community. This award not only celebrates their past achievements but also stands as a lasting tribute to their ongoing commitment and passion for Gungahlin Athletics Club.

The end of the season is the perfect time to consider and submit nominations for Lifetime Members, recognising those members who have consistently made outstanding contributions to the club.
