Gungahlin Little Athletics Centre (GUNLAC) is a Little Athletics Club based in Gungahlin, Canberra.
Little Athletics aims to promote and foster athletics amongst young people, and to do this through friendly competition in a well-run, safe and enjoyable environment. We aim to develop skills of children in each event and to increase their overall level of fitness. It is not a movement to identify elite athletes, though we do foster talent when it becomes apparent. What we try to do is to encourage the development of skills and fitness in children of all levels of ability. There is a place for everyone in Little Athletics. GUNLAC is affiliated with Little Athletics ACT Association (ACTLAA), which has members from the ACT and surrounding areas of NSW, such as Goulburn, Cooma and Bega. ACTLAA is run by an elected Board of Management and acts to oversee the conduct of Little Athletics in the region and to organise interclub competitions. Our Location GUNLAC operates at Amaroo ovals located at the end of Horse Park Drive in Amaroo, behind Good Shepherd Catholic Primary School and Amaroo School. North Canberra Gungahlin Athletics Club (NCGA) GUNLAC is affiliated with North Canberra Gungahlin Athletics club. Athletes turning 12 years or older before the 31st December are eligible to dual-register with ACT Athletics (choose NCGA as the preferred club) and compete in events offered by ACT Athletics. |
