HIGH JUMP TRAINING FOR ACT CHAMPS!

Under 11 and older athletes who are competing in High Jump this weekend at ACT Champs - we are running a special training session at the AIS Track this Thursday on High Jump (Amaroo oval is closed for the two week shutdown of all grounds). This will focus just on flop technique.

Training will commence at 5.15pm - 6.30pm and will be run by Coach Rodney.

If you are interested in attending please email Simone at [email protected] to confirm attendance and find out all the details. AIS does charge a track entry fee but we do have tickets available for athletes for the fee 0f $3.50 (usually casual entry is $5).

This is a great opportunity to get some final practice and technique advice - thanks to Rodney for offering his time for this session!

IMPORTANT NOTE - As the oval is closed we are not able to offer training at Amaroo this week. Apologies to those who were keen! Unfortunately we can't use the oval if TAMS closes it.

PRESENTATION DAY THIS SATURDAY!

This Saturday is our final meet at Amaroo which is Presentation Day! We will be running handicap races on the straight track (the GUNLAC Gift) and will have presentations for all our athletes. We ask that all athletes come in their GUNLAC shirts for the presentation. Start time is our normal time of 9am with expected finish time approximately 10.30am. All athletes who competed in at least one meet after Christmas will receive a medal and we have many other awards to present so come along a help celebrate our 2017-18 season!

TRAINING UPDATE

Unfortunately due to coaches unavailability we will have to modify today's training program - we will now be running long jump and sprints for all ages.

TRAINING THURSDAY MARCH 15TH AND MARCH 22ND

We will continue to run Thursday Training for athletes preparing for ACT Champs. We would like to focus our sessions on those events athletes are most keen on practicing - if you have any requests for these sessions please email Simone at [email protected].
