WELCOME TO GUNGAHLIN LITTLE ATHLETICS CENTRE

Planning for the 2020-21 athletics season has begun, however this will be a very different season with the on-going COVID-19 situation. While we are not entirely sure what government restrictions for community sport will be in place by October, we do need to assume some level of social distancing and limits on public gatherings will be in place.
The format for our Saturday morning meets at Amaroo will need to change to take into account the current COVID requirements (which limit numbers of persons attending community sport). The GUNLAC Committee is considering options for separating age groups into 3 sessions with different start and finish times. There are two options being considered by the Committee, as listed below. We would appreciate parent input into this decision and have set up a short survey for parents to complete. Option 1 Mini Geckos - Under 6&7 Boys and Girls - THURSDAY OR FRIDAY evening, approx start time 5.15pm - 1 hour session Junior Geckos - Under 8,9 & 10 Boys and Girls - SATURDAY 8.30am - 9.45am Senior Geckos - Under 11-17 Boys and Girls - SATURDAY 10am-11.15am (1500m and Walks from 9.45am) Option 2 Mini Geckos - Under 6&7 Boys and Girls - SATURDAY 8.30am - 9.30am Junior Geckos - Under 8,9 & 10 Boys and Girls - SATURDAY 9.45am - 11am Senior Geckos - Under 11-17 Boys and Girls - SATURDAY 11.15am - 12.30pm (1500m and Walks from 11am) For both options finish times are estimated. By separating the age groups we expect that there will be less waiting time to complete events compared to when we have all age groups rotating around the oval completing their events at the same time (in particular less congestion on straight and round track). A few points to note:
All 2019-20 parents have been emailed a survey link to provide views on these options - if you did not receive the email contact us at [email protected] for the link (survey only option to GUNLAC parents). 14/7/2024 03:52:18 am
The chain has a significant history, having been established in 1923. Over the years, it has grown and modernized, adding various customer conveniences such as in-store banks, pharmacies, Chinese kitchens, coffee shops, and more. In recent years, Giant has also introduced new store formats like the Giant Heirloom Market for urban areas. It has invested in e-commerce with its Giant Direct service for online pickup and delivery orders. Comments are closed.
