Our canteen and BBQ are very popular each Saturday morning, and also provides vital funds for our club. We currently do not have canteen managers for the up-coming season. We would love to hear from any parents who can help out and join our canteen team - the more volunteers the easier the role will be for everyone! Even if you can't help out every Saturday morning but can assist with purchasing or planning during the week, we'd love to hear from you! With the Little Athletics season starting soon we are now seeking Age Group Managers to assist our athletes during their events on Saturday mornings. This is a simple role but vital for the running of our meets - no age group manager no events!
The Age Group Manager takes their group of athletes (for example, Under 8 Girls or Under 12 Boys) to each of their events, makes sure the athletes understand what the event involves and lines them up ready to go. For field events they, along with other parent helpers, record results (such as measuring long jump or throws). Each manager typically has 2-3 parent helpers each week.
With our online resultsHQ system we no longer write up results tickets for events, to the age manager's job is MUCH less time consuming than previously.
This role can be easily shared amongst parents, and we have a Committee Member to help - Louise Cruz is our Age Group Manager coordinator.

In preparation for the new Little Athletics Season, Little Athletics ACT is running a school holiday coaching clinic for athletes Under 9 - Under 12. This is a great opportunity to freshen up your skills, or try a new event which may be on your program for this season.
The clinic will be run on Thursday October 6th from 9am-1.30pm at Woden Park.
You must register to attend the session, and nominate your preferred events for the day. The Flyer provides more information. Cost is $42.50

This weekend - Saturday 17th September and Sunday 18th September - GUNLAC Committee members and helpers will have a stall at Gungahlin Marketplace from 10am-2pm. If you have registered online already you can pick up your registration pack. We will also be able to answer any questions you may have about the up coming season and will be selling club uniforms.
