Have you registered for the Little Athletics ACT multi-event carnival yet? Its open to all athletes Under 8s and older, and involves athletes competing in four or more events, similar to a heptathlon. This year's carnival will be held at the AIS Track on Sunday 25th February (with U15, u16 and u17 athletes also having events on Saturday 24th).
If you are interested in attending check out our Multi-event page for more details. Registration is ONLINE ONLY VIA RESULTSHQ, and closes on February 13th. No late entries. The program for Saturday 10th February is now available on the Club Documents page. For the first time this season we will be running 400 metre races ahead of 200 metre races on the round track this weekend - Age Group Managers please check your event order and follow the schedule to ensure we avoid too much congestion on the round track.
Our training page has been updated with schedules for this week and next week (8th and 15th February).
This week (February 8th) we will be running a special Javelin session for our Under 11s and older - this is a great opportunity to practice if you want to improve your PB and/or if you are keen to do this event at ACT Championships. Younger athletes will do shot put and some sprints. Next week we will be running the always popular HIGH JUMP session! This will be for both scissors and flop technique.
